I worked at Great Lakes Naval Station after graduation. On Novermber 10, 1962 I married my high school sweetheart, Jim Mikutis. Together we raised three wonderful children. After 37 years of a wonderful marriage he was called to be with our Lord. At that time I was working for Gateway Technical College. It was there that I met my husband Tom Niesen on a blind date. We were married on June 9, 2001. I then became a new mom to three wonderful stepsons. I retired from Gateway Technical College on April 30, 2002 and was on the golf course the next morning at 7:30 a.m. I enjoy playing both duplicate and party bridge. In warm months I enjoy playing a good game of golf with my husband, children, and friends. During the winter months quilting, gambling and traveling to warmer areas are tops on my list. Spending quality time with family and friends are a priority all year long. Other interests include going camping, working in the garden, reading, and bible study. I feel that I am truly blessed with a wonderful family and many, many good friends. Every morning I thank God for another wonderful day that I can spend with all of them and do the work of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I just loved high school but junior high even more. Remember working on the Sub Deb float every night in the fall for homecoming. So many of us piled into a car going to McDonalds and singing songs with the radio as loud as we could and of course "scooping".

My most embarrassing moment was attending a prom "coke tail party" and sliding down the stairs from the top down and everyone standing at the bottom watching me very gracefully thumping down on my butt and my curls bopping on the back of my head,.
