Daniel F. Cibrario, 82, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and the memories of a life well lived.

Born on October 3, 1943, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Dan was a lifelong learner, educator, artist, and devoted family man. He earned his Master's Degree in Education and spent his career teaching, but those who knew him best understood that being a teacher was not simply his profession, it was his nature. Whether discussing science, history, literature, art, or the mysteries of the universe, Dan delighted in sharing knowledge, encouraging curiosity, and helping others see the world through a wider lens.

A thoughtful and inquisitive man, Dan found joy in learning and in meaningful conversations about the world around him. He especially appreciated the wonders of science and the night sky, and he never lost his sense of curiosity. As an artist, he expressed his creativity with the same passion and thoughtfulness that defined every aspect of his life.

Yet of all his interests and accomplishments, nothing meant more to Dan than his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, godfather, and friend whose kindness, wisdom, and gentle sense of humor touched countless lives.

Dan was preceded in death by the love of his life, his beloved wife, Marylyn "Mindy" Cibrario, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, friendship, laughter, and unwavering devotion. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, John (Rosemary) Cibrario and Bill (Cheryl) Cibrario.

He is survived by his son, Bradley (Anne) Cibrario; his sister, Susan (Sy) Bachman; his brother, Nick (Geri) Cibrario; his beloved grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, godchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish the love, guidance, and memories he shared.

Dan also held a special place in his heart for the family's cats, Willow and Ivy, whose companionship brought him great comfort and happiness.

Those who knew Dan will remember his thoughtful conversations, artistic spirit, inquisitive mind, and genuine interest in others. He never stopped seeking understanding or finding wonder in the world. His greatest legacy lives on in the family he loved, the students he inspired, and the many lives he enriched through his kindness, wisdom, and generosity.

In keeping with the spirit he shared with Mindy, Dan wished for family and friends to gather not in sorrow, but in celebration of a life filled with learning, creativity, compassion, and love. Though he will be deeply missed, his stories, wisdom, and love will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

We were inseparable in high school, proms ,dances, and classes. Got to know all his family, and went to family day at his first year at Lacrosse. After many years got to talk to him on the phone every  day for the last couple of years.he was a special man and always had encouragement when talking, and always made me feel special as he did so many.. He played three sports in high school, football, baseball and was Captain of the wrestling team. I for one will miss him. 💔
