For a long time John and I were very good friends. We did things together, went places together, and had the best time just goofing. Then life happened and we had to go our own ways. I regret we didn't keep in touch; I regret he died so young before we could reconnect.

He was one of the funniest and nicest people I ever knew. I didn't learn of his death until long after it happened, but I was filled with sadness then and even now that this truly great guy had been taken from us. I hope lots of people remember John and think of him from time to time, because it's the least that he deserves.

John and I took a great trip to Three Lakes in my Model "A" Ford - took two days as the car overheated, a couple of flat tires, etc.  Lots of laughs - John had a great sense of humor.  In 'those' days he was able to take the train back from Three Lakes - think of John every time I drive up hy45/41.
