James Lengacher

James R. Lengacher

1943 - 2015

After many years with a weak heart, Mr. James Lengacher died of many system complications due to his heart condition. He died comfortably at his home on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015.

James was born in Madison, Wis., on July 20, 1943 to Leroy and Hulda (nee: Lengacher) Boothman. He was adopted at the age of two, after the death of his mother, Hulda by Fred and Gertrude (nee: Buergisser) Lengacher. James moved with his adoptive family at a young age and attended Kenosha schools. He graduated from Mary D. Bradford in 1961. He entered the United States Navy at the age of 17. After faithfully serving his country for eight years, he was honorably discharged. James settled in Texas where he worked for AT&T. After his retirement, he moved back to southeastern Wisconsin.

Jim enjoyed photography, computers, and genealogy. Facebook allowed him to stay in close touch with family and friends which is something he cherished. Jim also took great pleasure in helping people make personal connections.

James is survived by his son, William Oscar of Burlington; daughter, Patricia Joyce of Waco, Tex.; two sisters and three brothers, Beverly (Ronald) Reichel of Palm Harbor, Fla., Zona (Gary) Light of Texas, Robert (Judith) Lengacher of Bristol; John (Cathy) Boothman of Hillsboro, Tex., and Frankie Boothman of Texas; two former wives, Joyce Weik of Waco, Tex., and Darlene Nicholas of Flatwoods, WV. -

Went to school with Jim at McKinley.  Remember him as a quiet and kind individual.  Wish I would have seen more of him in his years back home... Rest in Peace Jim..

I remember Jim from the old neighborhood in Kenosha attending Roosevelt, McKinley, and Bradford.  He was always the quiet one in our group.  My sympathy to his family.

Jim and I were classmates at Roosevelt and McKinley.  We had a nice catching up at the 40th reunion and stayed in touch occasionally.  I will miss all the photos he used to take.  RIP Jim.
