Cherie Krohn (Ketchum)
I just heard about Sandi's death this a.m. from Chickie (Sharon) Lamacchia. It just totally caught me off guard!! She just had a birthday May 13th! I have no idea if she was sick or what happened. I would appreciate anything anyone can tell me.
Sandi, Chickie, Kathy Loef and myself used to be best buds-we called ourselves the "4 somethings"-Maybe Chickie remembers??!!! Was it Musketeers?? Anyway, Sandi was the only of us who had her own car, and we used to all chip in 25 or 50 cents for gas and "scoop" the loop or go to Racine to Baskins-Robbins 32 Flavors. Those days with the 3 of them are some of the best memories. My heart hurts to know Sandi is gone. I'm glad I got to see her at the last reunion and even a couple of other summers when I was in WI.
Just another example of seeing and talking to old friends when we have the chance - we never know what's around the corner. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. I remember her siblings from hanging around her house sometimes. I know she will be missed. I miss her now.

It is so painful to hear about the death of yet another of our wonderful classmates. As Cherie mentioined, I too was so happy to see Sandi at our 50 year reunion. She looked so wonderful and was her usual very happy, bubbly and smily self. Lots of energy. Through the years I believe Sandi attended all the reunions and was so easy to recognize...she never changed. Always pretty and full of life. I remember her from our days at Lincoln Junior High as well as MDBHS. It's just like a big hole in our hearts every time we lose one of our people. My sympathy to Sandi's family, such a huge loss. Rest in peace Sandi and know you will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. I went to grade school with Sandy and spent many fun days playing at her home. I remember her beautiful blonde hair, ready smile and visions of her in her costume for baton twirling. My sincere condolences go out to here family. We carry old friends in our heart even when we lose touch over the years, we are connected by memories and shared experiences.
