I always visited Nels at his shop when I was in Kenosha. He took time out of his busy schedule to attend to his friend from California and he always made me feel special.
As kids we hung out at Columbus and St. Mary's Lutheran church where we drove Rev. Siersbeck nuts. I remember when he won the Illinois lottery the first thing he did was pay off his parents mortgage. He loved the adventure of life and lived it to its fullest. Friendship was primary in his life.
