John (Jack) L. Brand

         John "Jack" Brand, Sr.

1942 - 2017

John "Jack" Brand, Sr., 74, passed away on July 9, 2017, at his home in Knoxville, Tenn., surrounded by his family.

Born on Aug. 22, 1942, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Joseph and Laura Brand. He was educated in Kenosha schools and was a 1961 graduate of Bradford High School.

After high school, he proudly served our country in the U.S. Army with a tour of duty in Vietnam.

On May 25, 1974, he married Rhonda Farrar.

Jack was employed and later a partner with Jay Bee Auto Body in Kenosha. In 1993, he moved to Knoxville, Tenn.

He was member of the Christian Church.

Jack always remained an avid Packer and Brewer fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to travel. Jack was a people person and never met a stranger. He will be remembered as having a big heart and was the life of the party.

Jack is further survived by his brother, Tom (June) Brand; two sisters, Sharon (Tom) Hoppe and Kathy (Roger) Wooten; and many nieces and nephews.

I have not seen Jack since he moved to Tennessee, but we attended the same church in Kenosha prior to his move and it was always so good to see Jack and Rhonda.  Really a lovely couple, so well suited.  Jack was an "up" kind of guy.  A big personality and a joy to be around.  He was handsome, friendly and full of fun.  I am so sorry for his passing and send my sympathy to Rhonda and the family.

So sorry to hear the news about Jacks passing. I knew his parents and know that Jack loved being at the body shop, learning the "trade".  Jack was quiet at times, but had a great sense-of-humor.
