Rosemarie Hannes
April 3, 1942 - July 25, 2020
Rosemarie Hannes, our sweet mother, passed away peacefully at her home after a long illness.
She was the first born to Louis and Mary (Nee Piccolo) DeAngelis in Kenosha WI. She was baptized, confirmed and married at Mt. Carmel Church and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.
How can you sum up a woman who was gentle, giving, intelligent, beautiful and so full of life?
She was an incredible mother to Peter, Karole and Paul (Lanette) and a loving grandmother to Peter, Brittany (Chad Clickner), Brooke, Michael (Rachel Miller) and Abigail.
Rose retired after 20 years of service as a decorated 911 dispatcher for the Mt. Pleasant Police and Fire Department. She was proud of the work she did and remained close to many of the officers, first responders and staff.
She was proud of her Italian heritage and loved telling stories of growing up with her many cousins, aunts and uncles. Cooking was more than a talent, it was a passion for her. She would give her last dollar to anyone in need and her home was always open to those looking for a place to rest. Her heart was always open and she saw the good in everything and in everyone. She will live on in the life lessons she taught.
Hawaii was her true sanctuary and where we intend to bring her ashes some day.
In addition to her family, those left to cherish her memory are her sister Joann, her nieces and nephews, her caregivers, extended family, as well as numerous friends and neighbors.
She is preceded in death by both parents, her younger brother Butchy and her son-in-law Brad.
Mom: “Love shines brightly through our lives because of you!”
We will miss you all the days of our lives.
