I was surprised and saddened to learn of Joanne's passing* She was a friend from Washington Jr. High School years and along with me, a member of the Acapella Choir* I have fond memories of JoAnne during those days and was glad she achieved her desire to become a flight attendant as that was also my dream too but never fullfilled* JoAnne left a very soft footprint behind but her friendship to all who knew her will never be forgotten* Rita (Martino) Ginocchio
I think Rita said it best when she discribed JoAnne as, leaving a "soft footprint". I can recall her each morning as she boarded the school bus. She had such a graceful entrance as she swung around that pole in front of the bus. She was training for walking gracefully during turbulance in the friendly skies. Janet Leet Hanson
JoAnne sat next to me in typing class with Mr. Hillier. I next met her on a plane from London to Chicago, in July 1969. She had transformed into the most beautiful person, it was her birthday. She kept asking me questions about where I was from, and I kept playing stupid, until I ran out of answers, and confessed who I was.
She kept bringing Jack Daniels/water all the way from London, and every time she brought me a fresh one, my wife kept asking who is she??? I do remember the encounter very well, and will always cherish the moment in time.
