Patricia Ann Beals( Riske) , aged 81, passed away on September 24, 2024, in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin peacefully In her home surrounded by her loved ones. Born on June 16, 1943, Patricia, affectionately known as Patty, leaves behind a legacy of warmth and dedication to her family and community.
Patricia embarked on a career as a Telephone Switchboard Operator then, found The power plant! She loved her job and was quickly dubbed Power Plant Patty- she was always laughing and causing some kind of shenanigans in the storeroom. She met many life long friends and could light up a room with her laughter and smile.
Patricia loved to travel and explore the world and did so throughout her lifetime. At home you could find her listening to her favorite band Lynyrd Skynyrd singing with a beer cracked open or driving her beloved Jeep with the top down embracing the wind in her hair and open road.
Her family says she had a green thumb and absolutely adored Sunflowers (and other wildflowers) and they would grow a massive 10feet tall with her touch.
She was enthralled with the beauty of nature and everything that came with it including animals, which she loved so much.
Patty was a cherished figure in her family, survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Geoffrey R. Beals; her daughter, Christina M. Ausen; and her granddaughter, Michelle L. Vargas, who shares her grandmother's passion for animals. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellonette T. and Ellsworth Riske, and her daughter, Michelle L. Ausen.
A woman of simple pleasures, Patricia's personal interests and hobbies, were plentiful, she loved old photos and story's behind them all, as well as and not limited to, swimming, traveling, vintage cars, reading, anything outdoors, lighthouses and any body of water all which were outshone by her love for animals. This passion is reflected in her final wishes regarding memorial contributions. In lieu of flowers, Patricia desired that donations be made to
All 4 Animals Rescue, a non profit organization close to her heart, partly due to her granddaughter Michelle's involvement. Contributions can be made online at All4animalsrescue.org or mailed to
All 4 Animals Rescue, 2300 West 6th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
Per Patricia's wishes her funeral is to be small viewing and burial is private and will be immediate family only and a select friends.
Patricia Ann Beals will be remembered for her gentle spirit and enduring love for her family and every creature she met. Her memory and legacy will continue to influence through the lives of those she touched and through ongoing support for animal welfare.
