My thoughts of Bob Copen are immediately joyful and as far back as Washington Jr. High. His parents, Marge and Al, always welcomed his classmates into their home. They were such fun, you never wanted to leave. It was obvious his home is where Bob got his joy for life. His wife, Sandi (Linn, class of '60) was a perfect choice for his life partner. Together they created a bonded and loving partnership that spilled over into the lives of their family and friends who's lives were enriched by association. Bob, I was fortunate to know you. You left an impression in my mind that will trigger instant happiness whenever I hear your name. May your soul be blessed in your eternal Home with loved ones that went before you. Until we meet again, may your body rest in peace.

Bob was my "protector" in elementary school-he was always a big guy in those years and went on to be quite an athlete. Always a nice guy.

Rest in peace!
